Find a room on Stripchat →What using Stripchat is like
Stripchat works like Chaturbate, with free public rooms, tokens and tip goals, but feels like it was built five years later. It was: Stripchat launched in 2016. The result is the best cam site to use on a phone, the only big one with a real VR section, and the cheapest first purchase of the major sites.
Watching for free
Public rooms open without an account, and shows happen in public when goals are reached. A free account unlocks chat and favourites. The free experience is nearly as good as Chaturbate's. The difference is a few more upsells and pop-ups nudging you towards tokens.
Built for mobile
This is where Stripchat earns its place. Vertical video, swiping between rooms and a fast player make it feel like an app rather than a desktop site squeezed onto a small screen. If you mainly watch on your phone, try Stripchat before anywhere else.
VR rooms
Some performers broadcast in VR. With a headset you get an immersive view; without one, the stream plays in a browser as 180-degree video you can drag around. VR rooms cost the same as normal ones.
What tokens cost
Swipe to compare more columns
| Pack | Price | Per token |
|---|---|---|
| 45 tokens | $4.99 | $0.111 |
| 90 tokens | $9.99 | $0.111 |
| 200 tokens | $19.99 | $0.100 |
| 540 tokens | $49.99 | $0.093 |
A $4.99 starter pack is the lowest entry price of the big three, which makes Stripchat a low-risk place to send a first tip. The discount on bigger packs is smaller than on Chaturbate or BongaCams, so heavy spenders get less of a reward for buying in bulk.
Private, spy and cam-to-cam
Rates are set by performers and shown in the room. Using the 540-token price:
- A 30-token private costs about $2.78 a minute, so the $49.99 pack lasts about 18 minutes.
- A 16-token spy show costs about $1.48.
- A 40-token cam-to-cam costs about $3.70.
Rates range widely, from around 8 to 120 tokens a minute, so always read the button first.
Where it falls short
The roster is large but thins out more than Chaturbate's at off-peak hours. The interface pushes paid features harder. And private rates vary as much as anywhere, which matters more here because tokens are slightly pricier.
Paying and privacy
Card and alternative methods, including crypto. Billing uses a neutral name. Fees and taxes vary by country, so check the final amount at checkout.
Who should use Stripchat
Phone viewers, VR owners, and anyone who wants to try tipping for under $5. If you want the biggest possible choice, Chaturbate still wins. If price per minute matters most, BongaCams is cheaper. xHamster Live runs on Stripchat's technology, so it's the same experience under another name.
For gay viewers
Stripchat lets you choose men when you arrive, with filters for gay, bi and straight guys. The mobile player and VR rooms work the same in the men section, and public rooms are free. See our gay cam sites ranking.
